The Selkirk Association of REALTORS®  (“SAR”) is a non-profit organization originally established in June, 1997 and is affiliated with the Idaho Association of  REALTORS® and the National Association of  REALTORS®.  The membership is composed of licensed real estate agents and certified or licensed real estate appraisers, who are entitled to use the registered trademark “REALTOR®” by virtue of their membership in the Association.  Not all real estate agents are REALTORS®.  Our members also include a wide variety of affiliates and sponsors.

The real estate industry impacts our economy by creating jobs.  Industries impacted include, but are not limited to, county employees, newspapers, radio stations, area magazines, banks, title companies, surveyors, contractors, architects, suppliers, merchants, sales agents, attorneys and appraisers.

The Selkirk Association of REALTORS® is a strong supporter of charitable organizations and post-high school education in Bonner and Boundary Counties.  In the past decades, thousands of dollars have been raised among the membership and contributed back to the community in the form of grants and scholarships, as well as food drives for area food banks and The Giving Tree, to name a few.

As REALTORS®, we care about private property rights, taxation, mortgage finance, housing, energy, land use initiatives and other interests affecting property owners.

REALTORS® not only help make the dream of homeownership a reality, they also help build better communities in which to live. In small towns and large cities across the globe, REALTORS® have helped shape and promote community values, giving their time and effort to noble causes. The members of the Selkirk Association of REALTORS® are concerned responsible members of the community who share concerns for better employment, educational opportunities, quality of life, healthy environment and a good place to raise children.  Our members proudly take part in community affairs, belong to many various clubs, churches, civic organizations, etc.  In short, our members try to make this a better place to live.
